The Potomac Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, Econex Pest Management, to Rentokil Terminix. Econex operates out of Yorba Linda, California, significantly increasing the customer base of Rentokil Terminix in the United States.
Since 1988, Econex Pest Management services Yorba Linda, Riverside, and surrounding areas in southern California. Co-owners Jon Berrett and Christian Demke established the company with backgrounds in business and technology along with marketing and software development.
Econex provides residential and commercial property protection with services including general pest, rodent, and termite protection for their customers. Shortly after its founding, Econex technicians earned agricultural licenses and began providing landscape pest protection for customers in Orange County.
Jon and Christian set out to change how pest control is perceived by the customer. They formed Econex to provide more face-to-face interactions along with more personal connections with their customers than their competitors. As a mission statement, Econex believes “A reservice is an opportunity.” With established trust between the company and its clients, the word quickly spread about Econex, and the company grew significantly throughout Yorba Linda and Riverside.
President and CEO of Rentokil Terminix U.S. John Myers commented, “For over two decades, Econex Pest Management has provided the residents of Orange County, California, with exceptional pest management services and customer support. We look forward to continuing this high level of service and welcoming the customers and colleagues on board the Rentokil Terminix family.”
“We are thrilled for this opportunity to join the Rentokil family and are excited for the value and benefits our customers and employees will experience,” said Jon Berrett and Christian Demke.
Paul Giannamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer of The Potomac Company acted as exclusive financial advisors to Econex Pest Management in this transaction.
