The Potomac Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, NBC Environment Ltd, by Rollins. With the closing of this transaction, NBC is Rollin’s third brand within the United Kingdom and largest acquisition to date.
NBC Environment was founded in 1993 by John Dickson with headquarters in Banham, Norfolk. Along with his roles as CEO and managing director, John is recognized as one of the United Kingdom’s most experienced bird and wildlife behavioral experts allowing NBC to provide high-level exclusion for its customers. John is a leading expert in his field with a goal to provide safe exclusion services for both wildlife and customers. Among his endeavors at NBC, John provides consulting services to aviation and construction sectors to help his clients successfully manage the detrimental effects of wildlife conflicts.
Servicing primarily commercial customers, NBC aims to take an ethical approach to bird, pest, and infection control from airports and hospitals to highways and construction sites. NBC provides these services with a goal to seek sustainable solutions while limiting environmental impacts, extermination rates, and costs for their customers. Through their efforts, NBC Environment won the British Pest Control Association award for business growth and innovation in 2019. With Rollins, NBC Environment will continue to provide safe and effective pest and wildlife control for the residents of the United Kingdom.
John Dickson said on the transaction, “We have a great team at NBC Environment who are all passionate about what they do. Customers recognize this, and as a result we have performed very well in recent years, growing both revenue and profit to significant levels. Together we have achieved so much. However, NBC is an ambitious company and capable of much more. I recognized this and felt it was time to find a platform from which the company could realize its true potential.”
John continues, “I could see Orkin’s ambitions and, most importantly their culture, are aligned with our own. Their commitment to staff has been demonstrated by their approach to Safeguard and the other UK pest control business they have recently acquired. It was therefore a relatively easy decision to decide to align NBC with this family of Orkin businesses. I am confident this is a positive move, not only for the staff at NBC, but also our loyal customers.”
