The Potomac Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, American Termite and Pest Control, to Waynes, an Anticimex company. This transaction expands Waynes’ customer base of over 150,000 in the southern United States.
American Termite and Pest Control provides general pest and termite control along with rodent, mosquito, and moisture services for customers in greater Birmingham areas. Established in 1945, the company has become a well-known family owned and operated business serving Alabama residents for generations from its headquarters in Vestavia Hills.
In 1990, Steve Mote became owner and CEO of American Termite and Pest Control. With over 40 years’ experience in the service industry and leadership positions, Steve provides excellent guidance for all employees at American Termite and Pest Control.
Along with his position as CEO, Steve serves as an Advisory Board Member of Iberia Bank, president and board member of La Belle Maison condominiums in Florida, board member of The Title Company, board member of The Lakeview Business Association, and advisory board member of Children’s Harbor.
