“My main concern was I would be doing a lot of work and the advisor was just going to tell me to take the first offer and take their percentage and they would not be looking out for my best interest. I decided to go with Potomac after I spoke to Paul, and he sent me his testimonials. I kept on seeing their name in trade magazines when there was an acquisition. It was usually Potomac who was the advisor.
Everything Paul told me that would happen was spot on—right down to timing on how long it would take to close. Franco became my voice of reason when I would get frustrated at some of the buyer’s requests for info. He would be the middleman and was honest about what should be given and what I didn’t need to give them until after the closing. He would answer my phone calls all hours of the night, sometimes after 11:00 p.m. He became a very good friend through all of this. He made me feel that I was very important, and he worked very very hard, day and night, to get me the best deal.
I cannot thank Paul and Franco enough for what they did for me. I did not know what my business was worth until they gave me a crash course on how a business gets evaluated.
I remember when Franco was giving me the offers, I was sick in the ICU from Covid. When I told him that I was very sick, he told me to focus on getting better, and he would take care of everything. He did exactly that! He fought to get me the most for my business, and he did so much of the work for me. All my wife had to do was send him info, and he would put it on a spreadsheet and forward it the buyer. This must have taken hours of his time because of the amount of info the buyer needed.
My wife was also very impressed with how Franco would take my calls late at night and would always tell me not to worry about things and that my main concern should be my health. In closing, I just turned 56, and my wife and I are retired comfortably—all thanks to the awesome Potomac team. Now I can enjoy my hobby of racing cars.”
