The Potomac Company is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, Bug House Pest Control, by Rollins (NYSE: ROL). With the backing of Rollins’ team and resources, Bug House Pest Control will continue to expand its business throughout Georgia and surrounding states.
Bug House Pest Control was founded by Mike Prosperi in the summer of 1993 after graduating from Georgia Southern University. The company quickly expanded to servicing over 130 counties in the state of Georgia with 12 offices and over 220 employees. As owner and operator of the company, Mike has provided encouraging, hands-on leadership to each branch and takes a personal interest in his staff by visiting all offices on a regular basis.
Since its founding, Bug House Pest Control provides quality pest and termite protection for both commercial and residential customers. Over the last three decades, the company has become one of the largest and highly-regarded pest control providers in the state of Georgia.
On the transaction, Mike Prosperi commented, “I was looking for a partner that I could really trust – a company that would live up to their commitments. The Rollins team are stand-up people, and I’m proud to have chosen them to take my company to the next level.”
“We are a family company that loves great family companies. We have had our eye on Bug House for years because of their focus on taking care of customers and employees and being active in the communities that they serve,” said Freeman Elliott, president of Orkin. “We also look for opportunities with continuity in management, and we look forward to working with Mike and his leadership team in the years to come.”
Paul Giannamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer of The Potomac Company acted as exclusive financial advisors to Bug House Pest Control in this transaction.
