We were thrilled to have Ron Hodgkins of Bel-O Pest Solutions and Matt Ostrander of Mick’s Exterminating join us in San Juan last month. The two companies operated as competitors servicing customers in neighboring cities in St. Louis, Missouri, and Belleville, Illinois. Over time, the two companies grew to be some of the most successful pest control companies in the Midwest and were both acquired by Thompson Street Capital Partners’ PestCo Holdings in the summer of 2022.
Sit down with Ron, Matt, and Paul as they reminisce on the successes of owning and operating their businesses and reflect on decisions they would’ve made differently throughout.
Ron is a member of the National Pest Management Association and has been appointed twice to the Illinois Governor’s Structural Pest Control Advisory Council. There, he served on the committee responsible for reviewing Illinois’ pest control rules and regulations. Bel-O Pest Solutions was acquired by PestCo Holdings in May 2022.
Matt joined the family business in 1991 and helped significantly grow the company’s service area to the greater St. Louis area where Mick’s Exterminating continues to provide high-quality pest solutions for its customers. The company was acquired by PestCo Holdings in July 2022.
